Nowadays nearly everybody has a social networking account such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc… Today you will learn the basics of how to protect yourself against hackers/crackers by doing simple things!

    Steps

    1. Know that when you create a social networking account, some of your information written down by yourself are shared and some others are hided or kept by the social networking company on their database. Everything you do on a social networking site is recorded, saved and then locked in their database; so be sure to NOT put on your page stuffs that you DON’T want them to be there. Even though you deleted your information, it has been recorded on their database and it is still locked by their computers/

    2. When you choose a password, be sure that it is a hard enough one to find and a easily memorable password for you. It is better to have MORE than one password in general because if somebody stole/found your password, they can only access certain account with the same stolen password whereas if you’d only one password, he would be able to enter all your accounts!

    3. The best way to protect yourself against hackers/crackers on social networking site is NOT TO mention your ‘linked’ email address (the one you used to confirm the account at the registration process) Why? Because sharing your email is like sharing the emplacement of where you hide your home’s keys. If the hacker/cracker finds your email address and then takes control of it, then you can be sure that you may NEVER get your account back again… Why? Because he would be able to enter every single account you created in whatever site. He won’t have to find anymore passwords as he would just press the ‘Forgot your password?’ button and the email would be sent at your hacked email address. So be sure to NEVER share your email address.
